As a member of the testing team, you will utilize various testing tools, processes, and methodologies in your role of ensuring that our deliverables meet Syntech’s high standards for quality and reliability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • • Plan, design, develop, and execute functional tests for new and existing software, firmware, and hardware products and features.
  • • Work with development team members to achieve project goals.
  • • Provide assistance in Beta level support.
  • • Assist in the development of product documentation.
  • • Providing input to the Training Department on new products, upgrades, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be highly inquisitive with a strong desire to learn. The ideal candidate is interested in a broad area of Software Development, Testing, and Integration.

Currently studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, IT, or equivalent.

Able to work 15-20 hrs/week during normal office hours (Mon-Fri 8:00 am-5:00 pm).

Knowledge of software and firmware test strategies and methods, highly desirable.

Understand software applications design tools and languages (Java, C++, and/or C#).

Knowledge of designing, developing, testing, and implementing mobile-based applications for Windows, Android, and iOS-based operating systems, a plus.

• Good analytical and problem solving skills, competent with math and algorithms.

Understand design for software applications running on multiple platform types (Linux, Windows, and OSX).

• Understand basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures.

• Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
