The science is settled, 97% of climate scientists agree that human activity is driving a climate crisis across the Earth. We know it’s happening, and we know why: carbon pollution fossil fields is warming our planet and throwing natural systems out of balance. You don’t have to look far to see the results: hotter temperatures, stronger storms, rising seas, and so much more threatening the health of our families and the future we pass on to generations to come. It’s time for more climate action, and less climate change! To learn more, visit The CLEO Institute website.

Compensation:

Organizer compensation is based on hourly pay $15/hr

Interns are given a semester stipend

Volunteers will be provided training on how to write legislation, opportunities to meet and work with elected officials, letters of recommendation upon successful completion of the program and community service hours.

The interns and organizers will work with the lead FSU Organizer and CLEO Institute staff to pass legislation in our local city and county commissions, organize students across Tallahassee to join our campaign, and engage with various parts of the local campuses to spread awareness and garner support. No advocacy or organizing experience is required for the internship position but is preferred for the organizer position.
