International Internships: Earn your degree while exploring the world!
The College of Communication & Information, School of Library & Information Studies is accepting applications for the following international internship opportunity. This internship offers students the opportunity to earn credits while getting to know the culture, customs, and history of another country.
There is one internship available in the F.S.U. Florence Library for the academic year 2012-2013 with a focus on Library and Information Studies.
Because of Italian visa regulations, the appointment to the Florence Internship position needs to be appointed in October 2011, and processed in the spring of 2012.
The successful applicant will be provided with valuable work experience, free coach-class round trip airfare, one year free accommodation in central Florence, (arranged by IP), a stipend to cover essential costs, free online tuition (with registration through IP), and the opportunity to take part in subsidized F.S.U. trips in Italy. Telephone interviews with the Florence staff will be scheduled for mid October, with a view to complete the appointment of the intern by the beginning of 2012.
Dates of Internship
The internship lasts for one year from late August 2012 until early August 2013.
