Dubow Preschool and Martin J. Gottlieb Dayschool, is a small private Jewish day school. Our approx. 200 students range in age from infants to eighth graders.

We would like to extend an invitation to Master of Science in Information students studying remotely in the Jacksonville area, for a paid internship Spring Semester 2022. We can offer up to 20 hours weekly, January 5 – May 26, at $22 per hour. The schedule would be extremely flexible to accommodate the intern’s needs. We would be willing to discuss fewer hours or a shorter period of time as needed.

The intern would gain hands-on experience in keeping the library space organized, facilitating students and staff check out, and developing/implementing information literacy instruction for students K-8. There is a lot of flexibility in this position to tackle course specific projects or requirements.  The internee will have the opportunity to work on their individual learning goals.

The hired intern will work with our interim head of school, Karin Hallett. She holds an  M.L.I.S. and was once the school librarian here as well. Her experience as a professional educator spans over 20 years. She has been an excellent mentor to me in this role and would be an invaluable guide to a student just embarking on their library career.
