Job Summary

The Green Library at the Modesto Maidique Campus is recruiting for an Electronic Resources Intern to join their team of professionals and receive on the job training. The work schedule is flexible and can be done remotely if required. This is an unpaid internship.

Eligibility: Graduate Students in the Master of Science in Information Program

Duties Include:

  • Verifying access to various electronic databases, books, and journals. This includes checking title lists from vendors, verifying each link in the catalog is functioning properly, and confirming we have full access to the content according to the coverage statement both on and off-campus.
  • Aiding the E-Resources Librarians with gathering usage statistics from various vendors monthly. This includes going to individual vendor websites and downloading the proper statistics each month.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the E-Resources Librarians.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships and work well in a team environment.
