INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INTERNSHIP WITH THE DIVISION OF REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT

WHAT WE DO:
The Department of Management Services (DMS), Division of Real Estate Development and Management (REDM), is responsible for the overall management of the Florida Facilities Pool, as well as other facilities and structures DMS has been given the responsibility to manage. The division also works collaboratively with stakeholders across our portfolio to provide safe, comfortable, and efficient working environments in all facilities.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Students with a study area focused on computer science, information systems, or statistics. Students should also have a background and understanding of database systems and programming. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working diverse data sets. We are seeking students in their senior year of their undergraduate degree, or any year of a master’s degree.
WORK HOURS PER WEEK:
This is a paid internship, $15/hr, and students can also earn academic credit with an accredited university or college. Hours are flexible depending on the necessary requirements.
ACADEMIC TERMS: Spring 2023
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
During your time with us, you will work independently and collaboratively on several projects, gaining exposure to capital
improvement planning and statistical analysis. Interns will develop, test, and deploy scalable, efficient, and reusable
automation solutions.
Create processes and strategies for automation aligned with state business objectives.
Work with customers and partners across state agencies to gather requirements and documentation for automation.
You Will Also Have the Opportunity To:
Implementation activities for a document management system.
Statistical analysis of real estate projects through trend analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and other strategic functions.
