Westlake Christian School, a K-8 2012 National Blue Ribbon School in Palm Harbor (Tampa Bay area), is developing an internship opportunity for an LIS student. The school is planning to significantly upgrade its library this year, expecting to remodel the physical space, add an e-lending collection, add research resources targeted to middle school, and upgrade the library management system. Formal planning will begin in January to support a fundraising drive that culminates on March 1st. Orders for materials and systems will be placed in March, with implementation scheduled for June. The intern would work closely with the school’s Media Specialist, as well as the Director of Technology (FSU Comm ’87).
