The FSU School of Information is seeking a creative, charismatic and driven student intern to support marketing, media, and communications efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in content creation, design, social media management, and storytelling — providing valuable skills for any future career in marketing, communications, or media.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in brainstorming, creating and implementing engaging content for social media (graphics, podcasting, short-form videos, captions, storytelling)
- Support design projects for flyers, posters, and promotional materials
- Write clear and compelling copy for digital and print platforms
- Help manage social media calendars, scheduling, and engagement
- Capture and edit event and campus photography/videography
- Contribute to storytelling initiatives by interviewing students, alumni, and faculty
- Support campaigns (such as fundraising pushes, event promotion, or recruitment campaigns)
Preferred Skills
- Strong writing and editing ability
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
- Photography/videography experience a plus
- Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
Compensation: $15/hour | 15 hours a week
