Department – Information Technology Services

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality, effective, reliable, and responsive support to FSU Students.
  • Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, or modifies computer configuration, multimedia equipment, and related devices.
  • Initiates routine diagnostics to determine cause of equipment failure and follows standard procedures for problem resolution.
  • Installs and customizes application software.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • A State vehicle, golf cart, or utility vehicle will be used to reach site premises. A valid driver’s license will be needed in order to operate vehicle.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of post high school education and experience. Position requires a Class E Driver’s License.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS XP, 7, 8 and 10, in addition to Mac OS X.
  • Email clients (i.e., Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016), Microsoft Office 2010, 2013 and 2016.
  • Basic network configuration and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Experience with Customer Service.
  • Experience with computer operations, functions, and related peripherals
  • Experience with documenting processes (new and existing).
  • Experience prioritizing, organizing and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Experience working successfully in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of managers and subject matter experts.

Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Other Information
This is a full-time Other Profession Services (OPS) position.

Anticipated Salary Range
$10-$12 an hour, commensurate with experience.

Pay Plan
This is an OPS/temporary Job.

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
