Anticipated Salary Range:  Starting pay $10/hr dependent upon experience.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma
  • Knowledge of basic web design/html, CSS, Java
  • Proficient in use of MS Word, Excel, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Pro, RSS feeds
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and support several professional staff members in a fast-paced environment; to prioritize and work with minimum supervision to meet deadlines
  • Conversant in issues relating to digital and print media such as conversion of electronic file formats, file sizes, compression of files, etc.
  • Ability to learn and apply new computer skills

Confidentiality Policy
This position requires compliance with University confidentiality policies.

Preferred

  • Computer Science or Information Technology graduate or major.
  • Knowledge of/proficiency in MS Sharepoint, Adobe LiveCycle Designer, Cold Fusion

Responsibilities
General website maintenance for the Center for Global Engagement websites (cge.fsu.edu and global.fsu.edu) to include:

  • debugging issues that arise with the performance of the website
  • monitoring accuracy of content and links
  • review of statistics and monitoring analytics
  • planning for future changes to the website
  • creation of additional web pages as needed
  • creating and maintaining electronic forms
  • revision of the menu/navigation and templates
  • suggesting upgrades for increased user-friendliness to the websites and implementing them
  • Maintenance of the MS Sharepoint Intranet site for the department, adding lists and forms as needed
  • Working with IT staff at the university to ensure that interactive web applications work correctly
  • Assist with technology-based initiatives such as online database implementation
