College of Fine Arts is seeking Information Technology (IT) technician. Selected candidate will be responsible for high quality customer service and user support for technology related issues within multiple areas of our College to ensure technology remains in working order.

Responsibilities

Provide desktop support for Windows and Apple devices.

Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware and software related issues.

Perform peripherals installation and troubleshooting.

Effective communication skills with diverse user groups and skill levels using various services.

Assist with inventory of all technical equipment and software licensing.

Assists IT team and the department’s operations with special projects or other duties.

Qualifications

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years’ experience. Position required a valid driver’s license and must be maintained for the duration of employment and the ability to lift/move equipment as required.

Experience in the below areas is required:

Proficiency with Windows 7, Windows 10, and Macintosh OS X.

Computer setup, installation, and upgrades.

Computer deployment and imaging of machines.

Microsoft Office Suites.

Customer Service.

Preferred

Top candidates will have the following skills:

Ability to grasp technological concepts and explain them to others.

Effective communication skills with diverse user groups and skill levels.

Self-motivated, able to work within a project-based environment.

Able to work individually and in a team environment.

Detail-oriented and organized with ability to meet deadlines.

Triage trouble tickets and issues.

Anticipated Salary Range

$12.00/$14.00/hour commensurate with experience.

Pay Plan

This is an OPS/temporary Job.

Schedule

20 hours a week between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. Actual schedule will be determined in consultation with top candidate.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
