Research Assistant Opportunity 

 

Project A+ is seeking a research assistant to provide support for dissemination of research results for a multi-year project concerning college students on the autism spectrum.  This position carries a responsibility of 20 hours per week, pays $19.32  per hour and includes in-state tuition remission for 9 credit hours during the summer session (May 13-August 2).

 

Essential Duties

  • Creates and produces design projects such as infographics and research posters
  • Assists with creating content for websites and posting content to those sites.
  • Conducts literature reviews and creates associated scholarly content.
  • Data analysis
  • Create webinars
  • Creates PowerPoint presentations
  • Synthesizes research.

Qualifications, training and experience

  • Doctoral or master’s student (can be online)
  • Demonstrated professional graphic design/layout skills with a range of media.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in page layout, illustration, high-level photo manipulation, and word processing software.
  • Experience with websites, including content creation and posting.
  • Ability to manage timelines and deadlines, and to see projects through from inception to completion.
  • Considerable knowledge of approved English usage and of correct spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.
  • Considerable knowledge of computer equipment and peripherals used in graphic design and all aspects of pre-press production of printed materials.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and identify errors in original and finished materials.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
