Scholarship and Opportunity to Attend Internship Event

 

As part of our partnership with the National Retail Federation, HSN is excited to help spread the word about a scholarship and educational opportunity for students. The fast-growing field of digital retail involves digital marketing, branding, and advertising; omnichannel and mobile strategies; website design, usability, and the customer experience.  At HSN, we know firsthand how important digital retail is to the future of our industry.

The Ray Greenly Scholarship, administered by the NRF Foundation, will award over $125,000 in scholarships this year to students who have the potential to succeed in digital retail. They’re looking for students with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit who can find innovative ways to connect retail customers to brands and products. Students don’t have to be in a retail program or major to apply; in fact, students pursuing majors in ecommerce, engineering, marketing or advertising, journalism, graphic design and IT are encouraged to submit an application.

Through this Scholarship, one $25,000 scholarship will be awarded along with four $10,000 scholarships. Additionally, up to 25 semifinalists will receive a $2,500 travel scholarship to attend the Shop.org Summit, including the all-day Student Program in Seattle, September 29 – October 1, 2014. This event brings students face-to-face with retail leaders sharing valuable career advice and retail recruiters from top companies hiring for internships and entry-level positions.
