Social Media Marketing Coordinator (Seasonal) at MLB

Major League Baseball’s Social Media Marketing department is looking for someone with experience with the landscape of sports social content and video to join our team for the 2021 season. This role will work across a number of internal teams to support MLB and Club social media efforts with a variety of responsibilities. This is a remote, seasonal position through the end of the baseball season, including the Postseason.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with content creation across a suite of MLB and Club accounts across a myriad of platforms including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
  • Publish daily and historical longform clips to Club Facebook highlight pages
  • Publish daily and historical content to club Facebook fan groups
  • Assist all 30 clubs and MLB social handles with live streams on all social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube)
  • Assist clubs with miscellaneous requests (providing photos, videos, etc.)
  • Assist with various channel management tasks for MLB’s YouTube channel

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate ability to exercise good editorial judgment
  • Strong understanding of baseball (MLB, its Clubs and players) is preferred
  • Experience working in Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube is essential
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks at once
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and syntax
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
