Senior Account Executive
The SAE is a stepping-stone position to management, it is a time to begin the transition from day-to-day thinking and start thinking more strategically. The primary role of the SAE is client retention through consistent, high-impact results and client acquisition.
The SAE candidate will be responsible for writing all first drafts of press releases, pitches and other written material and should work with their AM/AD for approval on all written material before it is sent to the client. Writing should be crisp, free of grammatical errors and on message. The SAE and AE are also responsible for a large portion of the media/analyst pitching efforts and should know who the major players are in the media space and be able to get clients consistent coverage.
The SAE candidate should be very proficient in Cision and should update media lists on a regular basis. Activities will vary from account to account, but for the most part, the SAE will be the one to organize each account, ensuring that deadlines are being met for clients. The SAE should lead internal meetings and should bring new ideas to the table. They should be well-read in their industries and have an idea of what is going on in the market.
The SAE is responsible for the development and growth of the Account Executives, Account Coordinators and Interns that work directly under them. The SAE candidate should understand social media and should be personally active in social media platforms.
Account Executive
The primary role of the Account Executive is client retention through consistent, high-impact results.
The AE candidate will be responsible for writing all first drafts of press releases, pitches and other written material and should work with their SAE/AM for approval on all written material before it is sent to the client. Writing should be crisp and free of grammatical errors. The AE is also responsible for a large portion of the media/analyst pitching efforts.
The AE candidate should be very proficient in Cision and should update media lists on a regular basis. The AE should manage up, proactively checking in with the SAE/AM on their accounts to provide updates on the status of their current tasks as well as those of the ACs and Interns on the account.
The AE is responsible for the development and growth of the Account Coordinators and Interns that work directly under them. The AE candidate should understand social media and should be personally active in social media platforms.
Account Coordinator
The primary roles of the Account Coordinator are research and account organization.
The AC will work directly with the Account Executive on each of their accounts. The Account Coordinator will be responsible for reporting upcoming opportunities and deadlines to their Account Executive. Qualified candidates should have a strong understanding of Cision and experience creating media lists and making updates at the direction of the team.
The AC is also responsible for the development and growth of the Interns that work directly under them. The AC should understand social media and should be personally active in social media platforms.
