Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate degree and two years experience or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to six years.
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge of Unix Operating Systems, Java, Oracle, PL/SQL.
- Experience managing other developers.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.

Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field and 5 years of related experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Experience with SDLC and one or more development models.
- Experience with Blackboard learning management system.
Schedule
If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.
Responsibilities
- Provide design, business analysis, and coding for the Office of Distance Learning development team. Responsible for departmental and university wide applications implemented with a wide range of languages and technologies including
- Java, Spring, Oracle, PL/SQL.
- Engineer, deploy and support web applications for the University Learning Management System (Blackboard). Act as a senior technical resource for the administration of Blackboard and related systems in a Tomcat/Linux/Solaris/Oracle
- environment.
- Work with other campus groups, including Admissions, Registrar, Orientation, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Information Technology Services on a variety of integration issues.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.
