Responsibilities

  • Leads College of Music Communications including development, design, and management for print and electronic media including supervision and coordination of college staff and graduate assistants.
  • Serves as a liaison for University and community groups to amplify the college role in collaborative projects.
  • Develops and implements marketing and branding initiatives, community outreach programs and other alumni engagement strategies.
  • Creates and maintains an integrated college visual identity across all forms of communication including multimedia design, especially web design and video creation and editing.
  • Creates and maintains records and data as needed to support the Office of Outreach and Engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience related to media, communications, and/or marketing services; or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years. (Note: Higher education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
  • Ability to envision, develop and implement an effective marketing plan/strategy.
  • Experience in graphic design and audio/visual associated operations.
  • Skill in analyzing and determining the most appropriate media for creation of graphic images.
  • Experience with computer programs that support design and web functions.
  • Experience updating website content.
  • Experience with social media platforms and integrative sharing models.
  • Experience in supervision and effective office management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Anticipated Salary Range

Anticipated hiring salary of $50,000, commensurate with qualifications.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
