PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION:

 

The Assistant Manager Communications support the development of an integrated, through-the-line, marketing communications package to support YEEZY’s global and specific BU marketing and business objectives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Assist the Brand Comms teams in development and execution of marketing and communication plans.
  • Provide inputs for creation of action plans for YEEZY communications projects with the aim to maximize brand and (new) product exposure while maximizing efficiencies.
  • Remain up-to-date on the fast-developing Media Environment in general and New Media technologies and opportunities in particular.
  • Assist in researching communication opportunities and coordinate with day-to-day management of all other marketing disciplines: Digital, Social, PR and retail.
  • Close collaboration and communication with global and market digital teams on planning and execution of digital initiatives.
  • Close collaboration and communication with YEEZY Creative Direction team.
  • Assist in coordinating global and local agencies across projects and activities for YEEZY: agency briefing process and development of concepts and creative elements.
  • Assist in directing agencies towards creative concept that meets objectives and works across disciplines, and global markets.
  • Support the development of communication tools from conception to implementation ensuring all projects are on brief and meet the highest creative standards.
  • Support campaign performance post-evaluation by conducting or coordinating research and tracking project development, collating results into regular reports.
  • Assist in processing communications and advertising specific budgets and spending strategies to ensure communication activities are developed with regional use and implementation issues in mind.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Ability to succeed in a fast paced, high delivery environment
  • Proactive approach and resourcefulness to problem solving
  • Experience in marketing communications.
  • Understanding of an ever-changing marketing landscape and exposure to project management.
  • Ability to collaborate and use platforms and tools utilized by multiple functions as well as ability to support internal and external cross-functional groups: product marketing, communications, social, digital.
  • Understanding of and passion for the sports and fashion/entertainment industry.
  • Interpersonal/communication skills and some level of strategic thinking.
  • Presentation and organizational skills.

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Retail, Digital or a related field. Master Degree / MBA a plus.
  • 1+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience.
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
