Responsibilities
Advanced Recovery Systems, LLC, we see communications as strategic storytelling. We are looking to hire a strategic communications professional to help tell our story in a way that leads to expanding the awareness of our achievements and furthering our position as a leader in behavioral health. Success in the role requires a highly collaborative, creative, driven and self-motivated individual who has a passion for delivering empowering and inspiring messages of hope, recovery and redemption. This role isn’t just about creating and managing communications; we’re looking for someone to be a strong thought partner and to help strategically problem solve as challenges arise. Candidates must have strong analytical, creative, and diverse writing skills to develop and execute assignments, as well as generate new and unique ideas. This position reports to the Communications Manager.
Core Job Duties:
Works effectively with the leadership team to ensure the success of strategic communication initiatives by conducting the follow responsibilities:
- Gain and maintain a deep understanding of our brand, audiences, and company objectives to ensure all communications clearly demonstrate our broader mission, goals, and values.
- Activate internal and external communications strategies, working extensively with subject matter experts to research and translate information into clear and engaging communications that achieve company goals
- Complete tactical execution and reporting on communication platforms including but not limited to LinkedIn, Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, career portals, email communications, employee portals, company websites and more
- Source editorial content by conducting surveys and soliciting testimonials with internal and external audiences. Source and/or create simple accompanying graphics or images.
- Ability to source and manage external partners in the creation of assets that enhance the storytelling experience (e.g., video, images and photography)
Other Required Tasks:
- Maintains positive relationships with all staff.
- Asks for and accepts feedback from supervisors and team members.
- Contributes positively to the morale of other staff members.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism OR
- 3-7 years of experience as an in-house, agency, or startup communication professional.
- Demonstrated results in problem-solving, strategic, creative thinker comfortable with generating ideas and plans, and getting those plans across the finish line.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout/design skills; must be able to communicate concepts effectively.
- Substantial project management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and change direction quickly according to fast-evolving business needs.
- Passionate, positive, self-starter who enjoys working in a cross-functional team environment.
