Responsibilities

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, or modifies computer hardware, multimedia equipment, and related devices. Initiates routine diagnostics to determine cause of equipment failure and follows standard procedures for problem resolution. Installs and customizes application software.

Serves as a principle point of contact to answer inquiries and serves as liaison between end users and the appropriate Information Technology Services (ITS) area or University department able to provide problem resolution, within defined turnaround time.

Trains users on basic computer functions, software, or multimedia equipment to facilitate and enhance their work experience.

Maintains appropriate information relating to workstation configurations, replacement cycle, and planning.

Assist in other duties as assigned. A State vehicle, golf cart, utility vehicle, or all- terrain vehicle will be used to reach site premises. A valid driver’s license will be needed in order to operate vehicle.

Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.

Possess a valid Florida/Georgia driver’s license.

Knowledge and experience with effective customer service skills.

Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Knowledge of applicable computer software and operating systems.

Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures for computer support.

Knowledge and experience with computer operations, functions, and related peripherals.

Experience prioritizing, organizing, and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Experience utilizing problems solving skills and technical skills.

Knowledge and experience with conveying technical information to technical and non- technical users.

Experience documenting existing and new processes.

Experiencing maintaining and improving personal and team effectiveness, and foster change and creativity.

Preferred

Basic TCP/IP Networking experience

Macintosh and iOS experience

Active Directory experience

Windows 10 installation experience

Data Migration / Backup experience

Anticipated Salary Range

$28,000

Pay Plan

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM
