Coordinator, Operations and Outreach @ National Retail Federation

Together, we help people build better lives and stronger communities.   The NRF Foundation team works to connect people of all backgrounds to extraordinary careers with industry-recognized training and credentials with its RISE Up program , and helps university students nationwide accelerate their careers in retail through more than $500,000 in scholarships annually and year-round opportunities to connect to company recruiters and industry mentors.

The coordinator provides administrative, communication and project management support and works with the NRF Foundation leadership team in the execution of key strategic efforts.

Essential Functions

  • Provides analytical and specialized administrative and program support across the NRF Foundation team
  • Supports Executive Director and leadership team with coordination of external meetings and appointments
  • Manages internal team operations and reconciles invoices, payments, credit card statements and the Administrative budget
  • Drafts correspondence, updates website copy, proofreads and sends documents with a high degree of accuracy for C-suite and executive-level audiences
  • Supports the work of key NRF Foundation initiatives; assists with research, outreach and partners with other department members in the selection process and identification of opportunities to increase visibility
  • Provides exceptional customer support through email and telephone to RISE Up’s 1,400 registered training partners
  • Creates and updates communications, training materials and activities that support and reinforce the RISE Up training program and curriculum
  • Leads webinars that introduce potential customers to RISE Up and onboards new customers to the online RISE Up training portal
  • Responsible for entering data into the customer relationship manager (CRM) system
  • Supports other strategic initiatives and performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years administrative or program support experience required
  • Excellent calendar management skills including the coordination of complex meetings requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants
  • Exceptional written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and proofreading ability
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office; and the ability to learn other systems such as customer relationship management and/or email marketing systems
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • High level of professionalism, creativity, and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as NRF members, consultants, and vendors
  • Ability to proactively influence, comfortable with sales and can effectively work and communicate with a broad range of audiences
  • Ability to work and collaborate as a part of a fast-paced, driven team
  • Some travel required
