End User Consultant @ Florida Department of Financial Services

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Computer Science or Information Technology-related field, such as cybersecurity, programming, computer science, engineering or similar is required OR a combination of college coursework and experience as described above may also be interchanged.  Professional work experience can quality on a year-by-year basis in place of the required education.  College coursework will be considered the equivalent of experience at the rate of thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter hours on a year for year basis.

Additional requirement: At least three years of AD or Exchange management.

The salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 annually.

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle. 

This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description. 

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment. 

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes analysis of science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems for application to automated data processing systems to perform the most advanced operational changes (addition, modification, and deletion) to Department users access and access control methods for services including but not limited to: Active Directory user accounts, email, Teams, and file shares.
  • Implements plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs by managing the administration of local (on the premises) and cloud Active Directory and Exchange environments, file share and print server environments
  • Manages file recovery from the backup environment
  • Develops and recommends procedures and processes to manage user access of Network systems.
  • Manages the systems used to monitor enterprise applications and hardware
  • Conducts public record and internal confidential search requests
  • Provide support services for DFS staff in technical areas described above and other technical efforts that affect the department.
  • Responsible for opening, monitoring, updating, and closing tickets in the Department’s ticketing system.
  • Monitor spam inbox and reply or escalate as needed
  • Performs related work as required.
