The Work You Will Do:

The Leon County office is seeking to hire a part-time Information Technology employee.  This position is part of the IT team that maintain hardware and software for the employees of the State Attorney’s Office. This department also assists with the development of new reports, manages the implementation of automation projects, edits multimedia materials, and implements standard configurations for software upgrades. An employee in this position works at the direction of the IT Department as they assist computer users.

This position must follow state and federal rules and regulations regarding Criminal Justice Information, which includes criminal background screening.

Pay:

$13.00 – $15.00 an/hour

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

An employee in this position is responsible for performing a variety of specialized work within the IT unit.  Duties include the following:

 

  • Offer technical support to SAO employee computer users by responding to questions and concerns with software, hardware, and other technology issues.
  • Assist in preparing technology-related items for attorneys in court.
  • Set up and configure computers and other related technology items.
  • Observe daily activities to learn overall IT infrastructure, methods, and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the internal and external components of a computer.
  • Dependable and routine in-office attendance during regularly scheduled business hours.
  • Ability to focus and pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and comprehend.
  • Effective and efficient communication skills and ability to interact professionally with other employees, members of the public and stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to run the telephone system and respond to calls professionally.
  • Ability to follow rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively as a team contributor as well as independently.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalency.
