Job opprotunity — Computer Systems Analyst, Florida Department of Revenue (Tallahassee)

$15.00/hour depending on qualifications and experience

The Florida Department of Revenue is looking for an Other Personnel Services (OPS) employee to work as a Computer Systems Analyst for up to 40 hours per week. The employee will work as a team member throughout the project lifecycle for a variety of technical projects. The position will focus primarily on business analysis activities, with some application development possible. In this role, the employee will analyze and document business processes; review, assess and develop requirements and specifications; develop applications; conduct quality assurance; and systems testing. The employee may also assist with coordinating project activities such as updating the status of assigned tasks, scheduling meetings, taking notes, recording meeting minutes, and reviewing deliverables for completeness.

The position is currently funded through June 30, 2016, with the potential for renewal based on available funding and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Business Analysis Experience
    • Analyzing and documenting business processes
    • Gathering and documenting business requirements
    • Documenting and developing system specifications
  • Preferred Technical Experience
    • Application development with an object-oriented programming language (preferably ASP.NET [C#])
    • Web development with technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS
    • SharePoint development
