State Attorney’s Office, 2nd Judicial Circuit, located in Tallahassee currently has a job opening for an OPS IT Specialist. This job will work a max of 24 hours a week, it is an entry level position as well. Ideally, we are looking for a college student looking to get their foot in the door within the Information Technology field. We are very willing to work around the candidate’s school schedule and are willing to let them work less than the 24 hour max should they choose to. We are looking for someone who can exhibit the following:
- Offers technical support to end-users by responding to questions and concerns either in person or over the phone.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the internal and external components of a computer.
- Ability to set-up, maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware/software and any related peripherals.
- Basic networking knowledge (Preferred).
- Experience with installing operating systems (Preferred).
- Observe daily activities to learn overall IT infrastructure, methods and procedures.
- Willingness to travel to other counties in the circuit using state provided transportation.
- We hope to have someone start as soon as possible but if it would work better for the selected candidate to start later in the semester, we could accommodate that.
- The job will start at $13/hour.
