Diverse Computing, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Jr. Product Content Specialist intern to join our close-knit product team. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, and an interest in learning the ins and outs of working in product development. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with our team helping to support projects and internal initiatives while gaining experience in user-centered design.
The right candidate will work as an integral part of the product development and product design team. This role requires the ability to understand our complex products and our users’ needs, as well as leading by example through attention to detail, critical thinking, and creative problem solving. We believe our product design team should be one step ahead, proactively knowing the right questions to ask and acting in the best interest of our clients as well as our product teams’ success.

Requirements
As a DCI Jr. Product Content Specialist Intern, you will:
- Become very knowledgeable about DCI’s brand and products
- Spend time getting to know the target users of our products
- Regularly plan, create, and maintain technical resources
- Create key product documentation such as manuals, training materials, feature specifications etc.
- Help shape how we refer to products and features in technical and training resources
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure all teams have the most up-to-date resources
- Collaborate with the product design team to create training videos
- Write helpful and concise product documentation
- Shape product content through the application of information architecture, content hierarchy, and usability principles
- Ensure content is expertly vetted and appropriate for the audience, both internally and customer-facing

Qualifications
This job might be for you, if you:
- Are in any of the following majors at one of the universities or colleges located in Tallahassee, FL: Graphic Design, Information Technology, Information Communication Technology, UI/UX Design, Computer Science, or a related field
- Are proficient in MS Word (must have)
- Are available to commit to a multi-semester internship
- Have experience with the following “nice to have” skills:
– Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
-Jira
-Writing technical documentation
– imovie or editing software
– Adobe
– Editing and managing functional content for a technical-practitioner role (software consultants, developers, etc.)
- Can confidently pass rigorous fingerprint-based state and federal background screenings, as required by the nationwide agencies we work with (mandatory)
- Do not require sponsorship to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available for this position
