The Marketing & Communication Manager develops, implements, and evaluates all communications, marketing and promotional activities of the Florida State University Career Center and coordinates the planning, design, production, and dissemination of Career Center publications, both print and online.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position
- Knowledge and experience in desktop publishing/graphic design software such as Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of current media technology and trends.
- Ability to develop and implement a successful marketing plan/strategy.
- Knowledge and experience in applicable computer applications and basic computer functions to include Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Ability to develop and implement policies, goals, and objectives.
- Ability to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates content creation, design, production, and dissemination of Career Center publications, including multi-page booklets, flyers, print and digital advertisements, social media content and campaigns, news releases, and large-format signage.
- Creates and oversees overall marketing strategy to increase Career Center visibility and outreach to multiple audiences.
- Reviews and evaluates publications, promotions and marketing strategy for effectiveness.
- Coordinates promotions and publications for all Career Center events, including career fairs, workshops, networking events, recognition ceremonies, etc.
- Manages content, graphics and video posting on six social media platforms and interacts with followers daily.
- Works with Systems Coordinator to update website to reflect current Career Center news and events.
- Reviews and edits all Career Center print and online content for consistency, accuracy and ease of use.
- Ensures content and design reflects Career Center branding and abides by University brand guidelines.
- Leads a publications and marketing committee with representation from all Career Center units; presents new designs and campaigns before the committee and gathers feedback/final approval before implementation.
