Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience in Graphic Arts or a related field; or a combination of high school and 6 years experience or a Master’s degree.

Experience in planning, analyzing and creating visual solutions for websites, instructional programs, interactive media, multimedia and visual identity systems. Experience with gathering information and identifying specific needs or problems by meeting with clients, instructional designers and other members of a design team.  Experience with attending offsite photo and video shoots to capture imagery and implementing updates and design elements as requested by clients.

Responsibilities
Contributes to the overall project interface design and to the creation of artwork using a variety of graphic arts tools suitable to the specific project, including electronic assets suitable for the internet and DVD delivery.  Assists in planning the development of customized multimedia projects including attending planning sessions, collecting and organizing content and media assets, laying out the project storyboard, determining additional content and media assets needed to complete the project, and contributing to writing the project planning document. Collaborates and supervises other members of the design team to establish a consistent look and feel throughout the development phase of a project. Designs for print and electronic media using color, type, illustration, photography, video animation, sketch books and specialized software while using page layout and composition techniques to unite content with visual elements into an accessible and comprehensible communication product.  Produces brochures, posters, displays, signage, DVDs, mobile applications, photographs, and video (live action, animation and motion graphics).  Prepares for all phases of video creation including the use of a variety of digital cameras, shoots and edits digital video as required for projects and uses a variety of still frame digital cameras to capture quality images.

Ability to plan, implement and direct photography, graphics and audio/visual associated operations; prioritize, organize and perform multiple assignments simultaneously.  Knowledge of applicable software and operating systems, current media technology and trends, and web design and implementation.  Knowledge of graphic layout techniques and art in a digital format and skill in analyzing and determining the most appropriate media for the creation of graphic images.  Knowledge of photography techniques, imaging software, darkroom processes and photographic equipment and knowledge of computer assisted graphics and associated peripherals, digital camera and related equipment.
