Responsibilities

  • Serves as part of a team and is responsible for the development of high-end lecture capture, course intros, course promos, program promos, and other media as needed. The production of these media products includes scripting, storyboarding, shooting, editing, capturing b-roll footage, music selection and animation. The position must be familiar with media production hardware and software such as TriCaster, Final Cut Pro, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, etc.)
  • Responsible for managing a variety of complex tasks associated with audio, video, and related media production and support. This involves the assisting with the daily operations of the Online Learning Studio and One Button Studio including production procedures, establishing and implementing production schedules and maintaining equipment. This position establishes and maintains production and a high level of technical quality at an efficient level of volume.
  • Consults with faculty, administrators, instructional and multimedia designers, and other staff regarding the development of audio, video and multimedia projects. The position is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of high standards of artistic and technical quality for the production of audio, video, and related media materials.
  • Responsible for research and evaluation of emerging media technologies as they pertain to the development of quality online courses. This position must stay up to date on trends and issues in using media in distance learning courses and make recommendations for the adoption of new instructional media technologies for online course development.
  • Works with IT and Academic Technology staff to develop best practices for implementation of academic technologies.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and two years of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience (Note: or a post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
  • Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment.
  • Experience creating, producing and directing video content. Experience editing video content using software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, etc. Experience operating in a studio environment including using cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and other broadcasting equipment such as a TriCaster. Experience operating in-room integrated AV equipment such as sound boards, microphone arrays, and recording decks.
