Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of appropriate experience or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of appropriate experience.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships; prioritize and organize work assignments; follow written and verbal instructions. Knowledge of advanced computer functions and applicable computer software to include InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Illustrator; computer assisted graphics and associated peripherals, digital cameras, and related equipment; artistic and graphic layout techniques; and art in a digital format. Skill in analyzing and determining the most appropriate media for creation of graphic images.
This position requires a State of FL Class E Driver’s License.

Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, with focus on performing arts. Experience in the field of theatre, performing arts, marketing, and public relations. Knowledge of the overall theatrical producing process; printing terminology and processes. Excellent writing skills. Supervisory and project management skills. Previous post-secondary performing arts program work experience. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations; interpret and apply related university policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the creation and design of original graphics using various types of computers and associated peripherals for the School of Theater. Manages the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Office and works in cooperation with the Communication Director, Fine Arts Ticket Office Manager, and Associate Director. Assists in the marketing and public relations plans of the School of Theatre on a local, statewide, and national level within the overall mission by contacting media outlets and coordinating the details to make sure that releases meet deadlines. Assists in the management of an annual marketing and public relations campaign for the School of Theatre’s production season. Mentors and assists graduate student staff in the operation of all aspects of the Marketing Office. Evaluates undergraduate tech lab students. Creates and posts information on the School of Theatre’s website on a regular basis. Catalogs photos, images, and logos in a searchable database and supervises backup of all projects in print and/or web resolution. Assists with reconciling invoices and billings related to the operations of the Marketing Office. Monitors marketing budget and assists with budget development. Other duties as assigned.
