The Springfield City Library seeks applications for a full-time Children’s Librarian in the Children’s Room. The Central Library is the heart of our busy library system. The annual salary for this 37.5 hours per week job is $52,580. A generous benefits package is available after a 6 month probationary period. Thirteen paid holidays include Juneteenth.
The Children’s Librarian is part of a four person team and is responsible for collection development of print and non-print materials, programming, reference services, outreach, community engagement, and similar duties pertaining to children’s services, and assisting in developing and providing system-wide children’s services. Work is performed under the direction of the Children’s Services Supervisor and the Adult & Youth Information Services Manager.
