Library Clerk @ The State Library of Florida

This position will be involved in providing service at State Library of Florida’s Capitol Branch library.

The candidate will work in collaboration with the Capitol Branch Librarian to assist in providing customer service to Florida Legislators, their committees and staff, state agencies and the public.

Tasks

  • Maintains library stacks, including re-shelving, shelf- reading and shifting projects.
  • Participates in special.
  • Staffs the public service desk.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Seeking a degree in Information Studies, Public History or Political Science.
  • Experience doing research.

 

KSAs

  • Ability to provide customer service to library users.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
  • Ability to work with a variety of computer applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

 

Working hours: Part-time, Monday thru Friday, not to exceed 20 hours per week.

 

Pay: $15.00/hr.
