The Nevada Public Library is looking for an engaged, forward thinking Director with outstanding leadership skills and professionalism, joined with their desire and ability to provide a high level of excellence in fostering relationships with and serving the community.
The Director reports to the Board of Trustees and works with a dedicated staff. He/She directs all administrative, professional, and technical library activities.

· Management of Library personnel
· Create, develop, and implement innovative solutions and initiatives
· Develop effective and positive working relationships with community leaders, city leaders, Board of Trustees, and Library staff.

Community Description
The Nevada Public Library is located in Nevada, Iowa. The Library serves not only the city but also numerous rural Story County residents. The patron base is an ever growing, diverse mix of individuals, a majority of whom are young families and retirees. The Library building was recently renovated and expanded in 2013, with great support from the community. The Library increased from 11,000 sq. feet to 17,000 sq. feet.

Hiring Salary Range: $58,469 – $71,053 ($28.11-$34.16 hourly equiv.)
