This position is a tenure track faculty position and a department head role within Olin Library and reports to the Director of the Library. The Science Librarian and Head of Research Services may be appointed as an assistant or associate professor, based on experience. Librarians with faculty status at Rollins College are expected to show a pattern of growth and development in librarianship, teaching, scholarship, and service that is expected to continue throughout their career at Rollins. Under the direction of the Director of the Library, the Science Librarian and Head of Research Services will lead and participate in public services, including research consultation, instruction, and serving as a liaison to assigned departments.  The Science Librarian and Head of Research Services is also responsible for knowledge and promotion of open access publishing for the wider faculty and students in STEM fields.
