Special Collections Outreach and Instruction Librarian @ LSU Libraries

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head of Public and Research Services, at the rank of Assistant Librarian, the Outreach and Instruction Librarian serves as a key member of both the public services team and the teaching team in LSU Libraries Special Collections, with responsibilities in outreach, reference, instruction, social media, and assessment. The Librarian will develop, lead, or collaborate on outreach activities on campus and in the community to support returning visitors and reach new audiences. The Librarian will deliver instruction sessions and develop instructional content under the direction of the Special Collections Head of Instruction. The Outreach and Instruction Librarian will also be responsible for the assessment of outreach and instruction functions in alignment with the SAA/RBMS Standardized Statistical Measures and Metrics for Public Services. This position includes weekly shifts at public services points and assistance with in-person and remote reference and duplication inquiries.
