Supervisory Librarian @ Smithsonian Libraries and Archives

Are you passionate about the future of library research support for scientific discovery at the world’s largest museum library system? Do you have experience as a supervisory librarian in natural history, tropical sciences, or an academc research library? Are you bilingual (Spanish/English)?

The successful candidate would support the foundational work of the library while understanding new methods of scientific discovery and implementing services in support of this dynamic research environment. The bilingual staff at STRI also select and provide training on thousands of online journals and database resources. The Supervisory Librarian (GS 13) would join colleagues across the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives and the Smithsonian in cooperative processes and projects to support the mission of the Smithsonian to increase and diffuse knowledge. The successful candidate will also participate in the Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL), headquartered at SLA.
