The Creative Services Sports Unit is hiring for a temporary Project Coordinator position (description below). The freelance position would be from August 2018 to March 2019, working from Turner’s Techwood Campus in Atlanta, Georgia.
This may be of most interest to students studying Project Management, or Mass Media, but really open to everyone! Most people on our team have a diverse work history, and we each come from very different educational backgrounds.
Our team manages the production of all promotional, sponsorship materials & digital projects for NBA.com, NCAA.com, NBA TV, PGA.com and ELEAGUE.
We work with our marketing and sales partners to identify creative needs, work with producers to create elements and work with marketing, sales, legal and leagues on approvals.
The freelance position will support the Sr. Project Manager and two Project Coordinators over the Multimedia and NBA TV areas. Position will be creating production timelines, working as a liaison between groups, building promo schedules and numbers, qc’ing and delivering promos for air.
Freelancer also acts as liaison and direct contact between our broadcast operations center and our creative team regarding delivery and implementation of all promo deliverables. This position will be responsible for network traffic scheduling, timing and revisions of deliverables, as well as final quality control of all spots and elements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Sports knowledge preferred, particularly NBA
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Experience in a system/process environment
- Some previous television experience desired
- Some sports television marketplace knowledge desired
