Research informs everything we do at Sachs Media. The position of Research Associate handles multiple roles and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, conscientious, and comfortable working on a diverse range of policy issues and challenges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designing and analyzing public opinion surveys
  • Collecting and analyzing data (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Designing data visualizations, such as charts, graphs, tables, and mapping
  • Cleaning and building large data sets
  • Developing written and visual content for client campaigns
  • Writing reports, white papers, and articles based on data or survey findings
  • Engaging with clients to identify and implement research goals

Qualifications

Required:

  • Self-motivation, conscientiousness, and curiosity
  • Ability to distill complex ideas into accessible content for wide audiences
  • Experience in reading research, synthesizing findings, and writing reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Google Workspace products, and a data platform such as Python or R.
  • Experience working with large datasets (>100,000 rows) and hypothesis testing
  • Understanding of, if not experience with, survey design and experimental design
  • Ability to create charts and graphs to depict data

Preferred:

  • Experience with Google Data Studio
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint or presentation software
  • Comfort level with moderating discussions or focus groups

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field that required coursework in research methods and statistics.
