Social Media Strategist @ Premier Health & Fitness Center

Primary Purpose:
To develop, assist and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our web traffic and our brand awareness. Is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the company’s social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, increase sales and improve member retention. Assist with content for various social media platforms, monthly newsletters, and communications as needed.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Key Area of Responsibility # 1: Social Media Management
Essential Function Yes: X No: Percentage of Time 80%

Key Tasks:
A. Manage and maintain a presence in various social media spaces, creating original content. Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and
analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results. Manage, create and publish original, high quality content on social media platform
B. Develop thoughtful and engaging content to highlight the wide variety of programs, services, and the different demographics that make up Premier membership
C. Monitor trends in social media tools and applications. Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices
D. Develop engaging content to stimulate conversation with members and non-members
E. Become an advocate of Premier Health & Fitness Center in social media spaces. Engage in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
F. Ensure that department heads and staff are proactive and strategic in their media/social media pitches to obtain the most positive publicity possible for our organization.
G. Administer all company social media accounts to ensure up-to-date content.
H. Collaborate with Premier Leadership to create social ‘buzz’ regarding new services, classes, special events, monthly member highlights, and seasonal launches
I. Perform additional duties as may be required or assigned.

Key Area of Responsibility # 2: Assist in External Communications
Key Tasks:
A. Assist Program Development & Communications Strategist in developing external communication content as needed. This includes but is not limited to social media platforms, monthly newsletters and club communications,
B. Collaborate with Premier department heads to implement marketing and communication plans that accomplish the organizations strategic goals.
C. Perform additional duties as may be required or assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education
Minimum: High School Diploma and/or 1 – 2 years of job-related experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in public relations or a related field of study. Directly related experience may substitute for degree.

Experience
Minimum: 1 – 2 Years of Job-Related Experience
Preferred: 3-5 Years of Job-Related Experience
