MailChimp is seeking a software engineering manager to help us build the MailChimp application. You’ll manage our product–development team to build new functionality into our product, and our customer–service team to resolve issues as they arise.
Requirements
- A proven track record of managing successful high-capacity, large-scale projects/architectures
- Ability to manage the performance of 3-6 engineers of a product development team and advise, mentor, and coach them through their careers
- Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate across multiple teams including design and infrastructure
- Capable of technical deep-dives into code, networking, operating systems and storage yet verbally and cognitively agile enough to hold their own in a strategy discussion with executive team
- Comfortable recruiting, onboarding, and retaining a team of very bright, experienced engineers on projects and at scale unlike any other they’ve encountered
We want our engineers to be proactive about finding ways to improve our products; all of our engineers are permitted and encouraged to work throughout our code base as their time permits and their interest directs.
