Systems Analyst

The Florida Memory (www.floridamemory.com) program is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable systems analyst for its team. This position will provide technical support and assistance to a broad range of archives staff in the digitization and uploading to our CMS. The systems analyst will work with a dynamic team of varying backgrounds and will assist each member according to their needs, including the technical preparation and presentation of digitized archival material including photographs, film, and video, audio recordings, historic documents, educational materials.

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical assistance and recommendation for all software and systems related to Florida Memory and archives digitization of video, photo, and audio.
  • Creation of and edits to existing web pages (HTML5, PHP, SQLi, and CSS3).
  • Assists in preparing digitized materials for the web.
  • Technical assistance to digitizing staff (imaging scanners, photo editors, video digitizers, audio digitizers, etc.).

Other duties as required.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Communication and Technology or related.
Demonstrated history of successful and productive team participation, collaboration, and communication.
Knowledge of computer workstations, personal computers, servers, websites, software, peripheral hardware, and communications systems.
Ability to research, understand and synthesize technical documentation.
Enthusiasm for and ability to research and learn new software and systems.

Preferred
Omeka CMS experience.
Experience with Dublin Core, OAI-PMH, and metadata interoperability.
Experience with UX/UI Design, usability analysis, and web development for ADA compliance.
Knowledge of Information Architecture best practices.
