SPECIAL NOTES:
Applicants are required to have one of the following: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in computer systems analysis or computer programming: OR  A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in one of the Computer Sciences or Management Information Systems and one year experience as described above: OR A master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in one of the Computer Sciences or Management Information Systems and one years experience as described above; OR An associates or higher level degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and three years experience as described above; OR Completion of 720 classroom hour program of study from a Vocational/Technical school in the area of Data Processing and four years of experience as described above; OR  Experience as described above can be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Applicants are required to have experience managing a large scale IP based Network, working with Cisco Switches, Routers and Firewalls.  Preference will be given applicants having worked with Cisco VOIP systems and with network management systems and tools. Additional preference given those with the ability to work with a remote communication software, ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and assignments and ability to develop and document of policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.

REQUIRED ENTRY-LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques for problem solving and analysis; of operating system and/or telecommunication concepts.  Ability to thoroughly review, understand, update, and implement technical design documents; to communicate effectively and efficiently both oral and written;  to communicate technical data processing information effectively; to work with Cisco IOS operating environments for switches and routers.  Knowledge of telecommunication concepts, and computer operating procedures and systems.  Ability to manage and support Wide Area Network environment; to manage and support Local Area Network environments; to work with network, systems management monitoring tools; to manage and support Routers; to manage and support Switches; to manage and support Firewalls; to manage and support TCP/IP; to apply problem solving techniques.  Knowledge with Cisco VOIP Telephony Technology; with Cisco Call Manager (CCM), with Cisco Contact Center/IPIVR, with Cisco Unity Unified Messaging.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The position requires experience and knowledge with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and VOIP Telephony.  Applicant must have the ability to research, analyze, develop, and implement strategic plans for information systems in an enterprise network environment.  Applicants should have troubleshooting and resolution skills with switches, routers, firewalls, network monitoring tools, and VOIP Telephony.  Applicants will be required to monitor and analyze the network health of the enterprise network environment.
