The Agency for Health Care Administration is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate to join our Application Development team within the Division of Information Technology.
We are looking for an intermediate-level application developer to contribute to the AHCA mission. The core of our platform is MVC in .NET C# using the Microsoft Suite of tools, but we are interested in developers with a wide variety of skills and interests including:
• JavaScript libraries including Bootstrap, Telerik or Angular
• Source repositories like Azure DevOps, Git or Jira
• Data Visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
DESCRIPTION:
This intermediate-level developer has a dual role in our team. The majority of their focus will be on developing and maintaining applications, with a secondary focus on mentoring and training our junior developers. The applications they work on range from simple web forms to complex reporting systems used throughout the state. They will have the opportunity to develop their skills both from formal trainings and from working alongside senior developers on staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:
Execute: Works as a team member within our application development group that performs analysis, design, development, maintenance, and documentation in implementing any assigned AHCA application. Works to solve the most complex technical issues and implement new and emerging technologies. Follows Agency standards and industry best practices in system development.
Share & Encourage: Works closely with other IT staff and project teams to complete work tasks and projects. Act as a resource for junior developers by sharing market research and expertise, using pair programming and knowledge transfers.
Learn: Participates in our large selection of online training and certification resources. Use these self-selected trainings to maintain a sufficient modern technical skill level. Recommend new technologies, modern ideas, and methodologies for discussion with the Application Development team.
Verify: Participates in code reviews for all Agency applications using quality assurance tools and measures for new and existing system/application development. Works to ensure that approved code provides reliability, integrity, usability, maintainability, and security.
