Responsibilities

Employee responsibilities include, but not limited to:

1. Maintaining computer and multimedia (audiovisual) equipment, including initiating routine diagnostics to determine cause of equipment failure, and making minor repairs as needed,

2. Maintaining, customizing, and installing both software, hardware, and upgrades of computers, peripherals, and audiovisual equipment in College of Music classrooms, studios, offices, and performance venues,

3. Training professors, instructors, staff, and other authorized operators on the use of computers, software, and audiovisual equipment in their respective spaces to enhance educational and work-related processes; assisting faculty and staff with computer, peripheral, and audiovisual equipment problems; training and supervising OPS employees in various computer, audiovisual, and IT-related work,

4. Participating in the purchasing process for technological needs of the College of Music, including but not limited to: Searching for authorized dealers of required items, obtaining price quotes when appropriate, filling out necessary paperwork and securing signatures of Supervisor and/or Budget Manager, submitting the paperwork to Fiscal Office for processing,

5. Performing maintenance on user groups and Group Policy Objects for the FSU Active Directory System, and

6. Other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
