Job Description
The Technology Infusion Specialist duties include:• Coordinating and supporting the use of instructional software
• Working with teachers to develop of short- and long-range plans for the infusion of technology into student learning experiences in the delivery of curriculum and programming
• Collaborating with teachers in designing effective technology-infused, content based instruction and projects and supporting
teachers as they implement these with their students
• Providing support and instruction to students in various programs, as well as assistive technology programs and tools
• Providing professional development to academic and residential faculty, administrators, and support staff in methods of involving technology in instruction and other job related tasks, including developing and offering individual and group coaching and instructional technology education
• Developing and implementing curriculum and learning experiences related to digital safety and citizenship
• Researching and evaluating advancements in technology (including tools, trends, and resources) to inform decision making and technology budget development
• Modeling best practices related to technology use in the school program based on research and effective pilot programs
• Working with administrators, teachers and technology staff in the selection of curriculum aligned resources that will meet
students’ learning needs and that are compatible with the school technology infrastructure
• Participating in ongoing professional development related to job responsibilities and to maintain expertise remain current in the
field
• Researching, recommending and facilitating the effective use of resources
• Assisting in the development of policies and procedures regarding technology issues
• Assisting Technology Coordinator in technology related projects, repairs, and upkeep as needed.

Job Requirements
This position requires:• Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, including Chromebooks, iPads and apps
• Strong organizational and communication skills and exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of technologies available for use in instructional setting
• Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and appropriate licensure
• Experience with the infusion of technology into the classroom
• Experience providing staff development and technology training to adult learners
• Resourcefulness, open-mindedness and innovativeness with the ability to quickly master technological resources
• Excellent work ethic
• Knowledge of research-based instructional strategies and professional development
• 3-5 years of full time experience as a teacher preferred, particularly in the field of special education
• Enthusiasm for new ideas, strategies and technologies.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
