Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate area and two years relevant experience or a high school education and relevant education and/or experience equal to six years.
- Proficient knowledge of standard web development concepts, practices, and procedures, to include at least three years of experience with the following:
- * End-user web application development using: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DOM Scripting, Ajax
- * Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
- * End-user web application development using tools such as the follow (or appropriate equivalents): HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DOM Scripting, Ajax
- Proficiency with user experience design concepts, web standards and accessibility compliance. Must be able to work with a team of application developers in project-based organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Must be able convey technical information to technical and non-technical users.

Preferred
- A good working knowledge of consuming RESTful services, XML, and JSON .
- Practical understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 and design of Mobile applications.
- Experience developing applications for enterprise web portals.
- Experience with source control such as CVS/SVN/Git is a plus.
- SQL knowledge and relational database design experience.

Responsibilities
Responsible for designing and implementing end-user interface for complex enterprise-level applications. Works with Business Analysts to gather requirements from users, creates specifications, and develops and writes code to support new and existing applications.
Works with the business analysts and project managers to establish project plans and provide technical analysis of proposed solutions. Analyses usage trends and develops pertinent programming frameworks, standards, and guidelines.
Learns and evaluates new technologies, both individually and in collaboration with peers to enhance delivery of services. Identifies current and future needs to ensure that applications support the departmental missions.
Other support services as required, such as assisting with user acceptance testing, etc.
