Local author Laurie Hendry Graybar will sign copies of her first novel, Off the Dock, from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at the Goldstein Library on The Florida State University campus.
Ms. Graybar will have copies of the book available for purchase. The book is also available for download from Amazon.com, and readers who download a copy at the Goldstein will receive a signed memento from the author that’s suitable for framing.
One reviewer described the novel as “an exciting mixture of Sweet Home Alabama and CSI.” A synopsis from the Amazon.com website:
“Get lost in the charming rural beach town of Culley Cove as the Churchill family is forced to face hidden family secrets. As Caroline Churchill and her grandmother begin to discover what her brain has locked away for so many years about her brother’s death, they unwittingly stir up unwanted attention. It is then they awaken the same evil that took her brother years before. Now, it wants her… Answers are hidden inside family secrets. She is driven to find the truth… Even if it kills her…”
