JOB SUMMARY: The Digital/Social Media Intern will be responsible for multimedia content development and day-to-day content executions for DenverBroncos.com, the Broncos 365 mobile app and Denver Broncos social media channels as directed by the digital media staff. This position will contribute to: publication of editorial content, including but not limited to capturing video and photo content and video and photo editing; the management of the Broncos’ social media channels, including but not limited to ideating content, posting content and tracking post performance across all our channels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates and publishes digital and social media content
- Cover team and organizational events
- Shoot and edit video/photo content for use across Broncos platforms
- Shoot, edit and post daily press conferences during the season
- Collect player-related content, including but not limited to: Q&As and video packages
- Help ideate and execute content ideas for both DenverBroncos.com and Broncos social media platforms.
- Assist in posting to Broncos social media channels
- Analysis of Digital/Social Media performance
- Tagging of content in social media analytics platform
- Reporting of consumption and engagement trends
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications or similar discipline
- Minimum of two years experience as a student working for a college newspaper, television or radio station, website, college sports information office or in a communications department of a sports organization
- Willingness to work flexible hours (weekends & holidays) and travel
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of and experience with basic video production (Adobe Premiere) & still photography
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to self-edit
- Knowledge of navigating popular social media platforms
- Experience with Photoshop preferred
- Must have experience writing with AP Style
