Dr. Yunjung Kim, Associate Professor from the School of Communication Science and Disorders, was recently awarded a research grant from Korea Health Industry Development Institute. This project, in collaboration with Human-AI-Information (HAII) in South Korea, aims to develop a smartphone-based, AI-assisted, and patient-driven speech rehabilitation software for people with dysarthria secondary to stroke and to examine its treatment efficacy.

From October 19th to 22nd, seven STARS students traveled to Orlando to lead, present and participate in the Annual Fall Technology Student Association (TSA) Leadership Training Conference. The mission of TSA is to prepare its members for the challenges of a dynamic world by promoting technological literacy, leadership and problem-solving. While at the conference, STARS students presented on Effective Communication Techniques, Leadership 101, Time Management Techniques, and Marketing Your TSA Group.
