Steve Ellis Memorial 5k to fund Comm scholarships

The inaugural Steve Ellis Memorial 5k Scholarship Run will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 21. The run will begin and end at the FSU baseball stadium and will be followed by a tailgate in advance of FSU’s final home game of the season.

Registration is $15 if you want a T-shirt and $12 without a shirt. Deadline for mail-in registration is May 16; on-site registration begins at 7 a.m. the day of the race. Proceeds will be used to fund a scholarship in FSU’s School of Communication in memory of Ellis, longtime FSU sportswriter for the Tallahassee Democrat. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
